LONGi recognized at the 2025 S&P Platts Global Energy Awards

At this year’s awards, LONGi received nominations in three categories: Emerging Technology of the Year, Excellence in Energy Award, Power, and the Corporate Impact Award. The program brought together 211 finalists from 166 companies worldwide, with 21 winners selected across all categories.

LONGi honored with Corporate Impact Award

The nominations reflect LONGi’s continued focus on advancing high-efficiency solar technologies and translating innovation into measurable impact. Across global markets, including Europe, the company works with partners along the value chain to strengthen energy resilience and support the transition toward low-carbon power systems.

LONGi was ultimately honored with the Corporate Impact Award. The jury recognized projects that go beyond technological performance and contribute directly to social and economic development through access to reliable, affordable clean energy.

Clean energy access as a shared responsibility

One of the initiatives referenced by the Corporate Impact Award was a solar-powered freshwater project in Linga Linga, Mozambique, implemented with the involvement of European partners, including the solar engineering company Senergia and the non-governmental organization Project Vita. The project addressed the lack of reliable electricity and access to clean water in a remote coastal community with limited grid infrastructure.

A rooftop photovoltaic system supplied by LONGi was installed to power a freshwater pump and water tower serving the local maternity clinic. The solar installation enables continuous operation of the water system, providing clean running water for medical staff and patients. This has improved basic hygiene conditions and supported routine clinical operations, particularly in maternal care.

The project illustrates how solar technology can deliver practical infrastructure improvements in regions with limited access to energy and water services. It also reflects how renewable energy solutions can contribute to resilience and essential public services beyond electricity generation alone.
