Guardian Light Design module wins TÜV Rheinland Excellence Award

LONGi’s Hi-MO X10 Guardian Light Design module has been awarded the Lightweight PV Module Excellence Award by TÜV Rheinland at the All Quality Matters Solar & ESS Congress 2025. The award recognizes outstanding performance in mechanical safety, reliability, and energy generation per unit mass.

Independent recognition for lightweight design

The Guardian Light Design module is built on LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 back contact technology and is specifically developed for commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftops with strict load limitations. By reducing weight per unit area to just 7.2 kg/m² - up to 30% lighter than conventional glass-glass modules - product opens up solar adoption on roofs that would otherwise be excluded or require costly structural reinforcement.

TÜV Rheinland’s evaluation covered multiple dimensions, including UV and damp-heat resistance, flame-retardant properties, and long-term power generation performance. The award provides independent validation of the module’s durability and suitability for distributed applications in challenging environments.
