LONGi, a global solar technology leader, launches its next-generation high-end back contact solar module for the markets in Czech Republic and Slovakia at Smart Energy Forum, the renowned energy fair in Nitra, Slovakia. The new Hi-MO X10 is based on LONGi’s new HPBC 2.0 technology and is equipped with the company’s new proprietary n-type TaiRay wafer and Bipolar Hybrid Passivation Technology which brings significant improvements in efficiency, mechanical characteristics and reliability.

LONGi receives “EUPD Research Top Innovation Award 2025” for latest Back Contact Technology HPBC 2.0

LONGi Solar Technology Co., Ltd. has been awarded the EUPD Research Top Innovation Award 2025 (TIA) in the category “Modules” for its high-efficiency Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) 2.0 technology. The respective certificate was presented during KEY Energy, the Energy Transition Exhibition in Rimini, Italy. The recognition underlines LONGi's commitment to the advancement of solar technology, in particular back contact technology, and its continuous dedication to innovation and excellence in the renewable energy sector. In 2023, LONGi emphasized that back contact cells would be the focus of its technology development due to their superior conversion efficiency and future viability. Currently, two of LONGi's module types are equipped with HPBC 2.0: the Hi-MO 9, which is suitable for utility-scale projects, and the Hi-MO X10, which addresses the different needs of the residential and C&I markets. LONGi is the first company to win the Top Innovation Award for Europe in the "Modules" category since the award's inception in 2024.

LONGi upgrades AI-powered Lighthouse Factory to HPBC 2.0 production to include latest Hi-MO X10 back contact module for DG Market

LONGi has upgraded its Lighthouse Factory in Jiaxing, China to produce LONGi’s back contact modules featuring the new second generation of HPBC 2.0 - Hybrid Passivated Back Contact technology. The modules include the new Hi-MO X10 which was first launched in Europe in December 2024. The X10 has been engineered to significantly improve reliability, cost-efficiency, and long-term performance. It features a multi-layer structure to increase light absorption, reduce the reflection of short-wave light, reduce UV-induced degradation and shading power loss by over 70% compared to TOPCon, and lower hotspot temperatures by 28%. A zero-bus (0BB) bar structure further enhances performance while LONGi’s new TaiRay wafers show a 16% increase in break resistance for greater reliability. The X10 delivers up to 670W of power with 24.8% efficiency, generating up to 30W more power than TOPCon under the same conditions.
