nadinebuetow@longi.comLONGi has once again received AAA rating in the Q2 2025 PV ModuleTech Bankability Ratings, published by PV Tech. This marks the 22nd consecutive quarter that LONGi has achieved the top classification, underlining the company’s financial and operational stability within the global PV module industry.
The rankings are based on a comprehensive evaluation of value chain integration, production capacity, global shipment volumes, R&D investment, capital expenditure, and financial health.
LONGi underlines technology leadership with cell efficiency records
LONGi continues to focus on technology leadership in both crystalline silicon and tandem solar cell architectures. The company’s R&D efforts have led to notable breakthroughs in conversion efficiency.
In April 2025, the German Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH) certified a 27.81% efficiency for LONGi’s proprietary Hybrid Interdigitated Back Contact (HIBC) solar cell, setting a new benchmark in monocrystalline silicon cell performance.
In parallel, LONGi achieved a certified 34.85% efficiency for its crystalline silicon–perovskite tandem cell, as confirmed by the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). LONGi currently holds world records in both technology categories.
700W module launch signals entry into the 25%+ efficiency era
At SNEC 2025, LONGi officially introduced its HIBC-based PV module products. These modules deliver power outputs exceeding 700W using a standard 2382mm × 1134mm format. With a production module efficiency approaching 26%, this development marks a significant step into the ‘25%+ efficiency era’ for commercial PV modules.
The product unveiling was led by LONGi Chairman Baoshen Zhong and Distributed Business Group President Charles Jiang at the SNEC event in Shanghai.
LONGi’s strong market performance underscores commercial momentum
LONGi’s recent commercial results reflect the company’s ability to translate technological progress into market success. At Intersolar Europe 2025, LONGi reported record global shipments of 28.5 GW in the distributed generation segment for the first half of the year, including over 8 GW to Europe. This performance underscores the growing demand for high-efficiency modules across all market segments. Backed by stable operations and a diversified customer base, LONGi aims to build on this momentum by maintaining reliable delivery, strengthening local support, and scaling production of its latest high-efficiency technologies.
