Intersolar 2025: LONGi is a finalist for the Smarter E AWARD 2025 in the category “Photovoltaics” with its Hi-MO X10 back contact module

The Smarter E trade fair has finally announced the shortlist of finalists for this year's Energy Transition Awards, which will be presented in five categories: Photovoltaics, Energy Storage, E-mobility, Intelligent Integrated Energy and Special Projects.

LONGi is a finalist in the Photovoltaics category with its newly launched Hi-MO X10 back contact module, which features the company's proprietary second generation Hybrid Passivated Back Contact technology - HPBC 2.0.

In Europe, the module was first launched in November 2024 and is already experiencing good market traction and increasing demand. One of the biggest advances made by LONGi's R&D department between HPBC 1.0 and 2.0 is the 1% increase in absolute cell efficiency in just 2 years of development from 2022 to 2024.

According to E Smarter, the finalists in the Photovoltaics category reflect current trends and challenges. While PV modules have become more powerful and efficient, a wider range of installation options, including vertical installations, was also a deciding factor in the finalists' selection, given the limited space available.

The winners will receive their awards on the evening of The smarter E Europe on May 6, one day before the start of Intersolar.

LONGi at Intersolar 2025 with Grand Product Reveal

LONGi will kick off this year's Intersolar with two publicly celebrated product unveilings.

First, we will premiere a new back contact module based on a new type of BC cell technology and the first to be used in a commercial application. This new module will have a world-leading cell efficiency of 27.6%, with a module efficiency exceeding 25%. The 54-cell bifacial full black version will be in excess of 500W – another breakthrough!

In addition, LONGi will launch a 66 cell back contact module as a solution for versatile utility-scale applications.
