LONGi’s Hi-MO X10 back contact module series has received Class A certification for shadow resistance from TÜV Rheinland, a globally recognized independent testing and certification body. The certification highlights the module’s strong performance under partial shading and confirms that the Hi-MO X10 series operates safely and efficiently in real-world environments where shading from trees, buildings, debris, or soiling is common. Such conditions can cause significant power loss and trigger hot-spot effects, potentially reducing module lifespan and compromising system safety.

LONGi’s anti-shading design enables blocked current to bypass shaded areas and flow through alternative paths, ensuring stable power output across the entire cell string. Comparative testing shows that under identical shading conditions, Hi-MO X10 modules experience over 70% less power loss than TOPCon products, effectively addressing a key performance challenge in the PV industry.

30-year module reliability achieved through HPBC 2.0 and smart design
The Hi-MO X10 series is built on LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 cell technology and features a specially designed bypass diode structure. When sections of a module are shaded, the blocked current is automatically rerouted, allowing power to continue flowing through the unshaded cells in the string. This prevents hot-spot formation, protects system safety, and maintains stable energy output.

Complementing this is a range of design innovations, including half-cell architecture, Bipolar Hybrid Passivation technology, smart soldering, and ultra-fine pure silver grid lines, which help reduce slicing losses, edge leakage, and current transmission losses. These features improve resistance to cell degradation and ensure reliable performance over a 30-year lifecycle, delivering long-term value for system owners.
