Supporting a hospital in Ukraine with solar energy
Reliable energy supply is essential for healthcare facilities. This project supports a hospital in the Odesa region in Ukraine by strengthening its energy stability through solar power.

In October 2025, the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation facilitated the installation of a hybrid solar power station at the Central District Hospital of the Izmail district, serving the Safianivka community, to support the hospital during ongoing grid challenges. The solar power station provides an essential additional source of electricity during power outages, reducing reliance on diesel generators, which are costly and unsuitable for long-term use.
The solution includes a 30 kW solar power station supplied by LONGi SOLAR, combined with a 62.4 kWh energy storage system, providing up to four hours of autonomous power for critical departments such as surgery and intensive care.
Healthcare is a field where we simply cannot afford to stop. During the latest outage, there was no electricity for three days. Even generators could not operate reliably for such a long period. Without power, ventilators, diagnostic devices, and surgical equipment cannot function.
