The first thing you notice at Torremirona Golf Club is the silence.
Not an empty silence, but one filled with wide skies, soft wind moving through trees, and a calm that settles in without effort. The golf club lies in the heart of the Empordà, in the province of Girona, only a short drive from the Costa Brava, yet it feels removed from everyday pace.
This is where Pau Borredá from LONGi Solar meets Alberto Rodríguez, General Manager of the golf club. Before solar panels or installations enter the conversation, Alberto suggests something else first, a golf lesson.
Pau decides to give it a try. He grips the golf club. Alberto adjusts his stance. A swing, a small correction, another attempt. Laughter follows. The moment feels unpolished and genuine. It reflects how life unfolds here, with time, attention, and space to breathe.

Sustainability shapes both the golf course and residential life
Alongside its 18-hole championship course, Torremirona is also home to a residential community. People choose to live among fields and forests because the setting supports a certain way of life.
Alberto explains that sustainability has long been part of daily operations. The golf course relies entirely on recycled wastewater for irrigation. Water is treated with care, and resources are managed deliberately. These choices are part of how the site is operated day to day. Solar energy follows the same thinking.
“Some of the homes where people live already use solar,” Alberto says. The technology appears quietly, as a natural extension of how the community relates to its surroundings.
Homeowners choose solar based on personal values
Outside one of these homes, Pau meets Jordi Sindreu, partnership manager at the golf club. Their conversation quickly moves away from kilowatt hours or return calculations.
“People come to live here for lifestyle,” Jordi explains. Solar installations follow that same mindset. The decision reflects how residents want to live day by day and how their homes relate to the environment around them.
For this installation, the homeowners chose LONGi EcoLife full-black modules. Long warranties, reliable performance, and a design that integrates cleanly into the architecture all mattered. The system needed to deliver quality without drawing attention to itself.
LONGi and Holaluz work as close partners
The installation was carried out by Holaluz, LONGi’s long-standing partner in Spain. Holaluz supported the homeowners from planning through installation, turning shared values into a system that fits both the building and daily life.
The collaboration builds on earlier residential projects. Back in May 2025, the partners announced a collaboration to bring the EcoLife series with back contact technology to Spanish homes. The idea was simple: make premium rooftop solar feel like a natural part of everyday life. Here in Girona, that idea continues, with solar energy working quietly in the background, dependable, discreet, and well-integrated.
EcoLife blends into the home and daily routine
Today, thirteen LONGi EcoLife panels sit quietly on the roof. Their full-black design follows the lines of the building without visual disruption. There is no glare and no sense of intrusion. The system produces energy steadily, with all of it used directly in the household’s daily routines.

For Pau, this is where the meaning becomes clear. Solar transforms homes. But it also changes daily life.
At Torremirona, solar supports a rhythm defined by calm mornings, slow afternoons, and walks between fairways and forest paths. Technology remains present, but it stays in service of daily life. Some energy transition stories unfold quietly. In a golf lesson shared in the morning, a conversation on a terrace, or sunlight turning into energy on a rooftop.
You may not hear the panels working here.
You can still sense what they make possible.
The full story, including Pau’s visit and the installation, can be seen in the case video.
