New partnership strengthens commitment to quality PV solutions across residential and commercial sectors
LONGi, a global leader in solar technology, and Onninen Oy, a premier Nordic distributor of technical wholesale products, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Intersolar Europe 2025 in Munich. The agreement covers the supply of 60MW of LONGi’s latest generation PV modules, Hi-MO X10 and Hi-MO S10, targeting residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) applications across the Nordic region and select European markets.
This strategic understanding underscores the shared vision of both companies to bring cutting-edge solar technology to installers, EPCs, and developers seeking high-performance, reliable, and award-winning solar modules. The MoU was signed by Will Han, General Manager of LONGi Solar DG for the Nordic Countries, the UK and Ireland, and Arto Koivisto, International Category Director at Onninen Oy.
Back contact modules powering the future of solar
The agreement focuses on two of LONGi’s most advanced modules: the Hi-MO S10 and Hi-MO X10, both of which integrate back contact (BC) technology to maximize performance and aesthetics. The Hi-MO S10 is built on Heterojunction Back Contact (HBC) architecture and achieves a module efficiency of up to 25%, delivering outstanding performance under low light conditions and superior temperature coefficient. The Hi-MO X10, based on HPBC 2.0 technology, recently won the 2025 The Smarter E AWARD in the Photovoltaics category for its elegant design and high conversion efficiency of up to 24.8%, making it ideal for both C&I rooftops and high-end residential installations.
Reinforcing a strong and longstanding partnership
LONGi and Onninen have enjoyed a productive partnership since 2018. The new MoU builds on years of collaboration and mutual trust, reflecting a continued commitment to quality and service in delivering sustainable energy solutions across the region. The modules will be distributed through Onninen’s extensive logistics network spanning Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
“This MoU represents a significant step forward in our Nordic cooperation,” said Will Han, General Manager of LONGi Solar DG for the Nordic Countries, the UK and Ireland. “Together with Onninen, we aim to provide local partners with access to industry-leading solar technologies that combine performance, aesthetics, and sustainability.”
Arto Koivisto, International Category Director at Onninen Oy, added: “We are excited to further deepen our collaboration with LONGi. Their innovative BC module platforms offer real value to our customers seeking premium solutions for residential and commercial applications. This agreement ensures strong supply continuity and aligns with our strategic vision for growth in solar.”
