LONGi has reached the top position in the latest TaiyangNews Top Solar Modules Listing for April 2026. With a recorded mass-production module efficiency of 25%, the Hi-MO S10, the flagship module of the EcoLife series, sets a new benchmark for commercially available photovoltaic modules.
The ranking is based on verified performance data from mass-produced modules currently available on the market. Achieving the 25% threshold reflects the continued transition of high-efficiency cell concepts into scalable products deployed under real-world conditions. LONGi’s top position underlines the maturity of its HIBC technology in mass production.
Li Zhenguo commented: “This is another peak that LONGi has reached in technological innovation, as well as another major breakthrough in our BC technology journey. We have taken PV module efficiency to a significantly higher level, fully demonstrating the high scalability of BC technology and the substantial room for further efficiency gains.”

Hi-MO S10 translates 25% module efficiency into high power density and improved shading performance
The Hi-MO S10 is based on LONGi’s proprietary Hybrid Interdigitated Back Contact technology, HIBC. Introduced at SNEC 2025 and Intersolar 2025, the technology combines heterojunction passivation with a back contact cell architecture to improve light utilization and reduce electrical losses at the module level.
The module delivers up to 510 W of output and a power density of approximately 250 W/m². Its back contact design supports improved performance under partial shading conditions, with internal testing indicating more than 70% reduction in shading-related losses compared to conventional TOPCon-based designs.
Market adoption and industry recognition confirm commercial readiness of high-efficiency PV modules
Efficiency levels at or above 25% are now entering mass production. With the Hi-MO S10, LONGi demonstrates how this performance level is translated into commercially available products for residential applications.
Higher module efficiency directly increases energy yield per square meter, which is particularly relevant for space-constrained rooftops.
LONGi’s HIBC- and BC-based module portfolio continues to gain adoption across international markets. In January 2026, the EcoLife series received the German Excellence Award 2026. The jury recognized the product’s technical leadership and application value, stating: “LONGi EcoLife: Higher Power Generation, Higher Safety – Modules for an Uncertain Climate Future.”
In February, LONGi renewed a three-year framework agreement with Energy 3000, covering the supply of 2 GW of high-efficiency PV modules. The agreement focuses on products based on HPBC 2.0 and HIBC technologies, including the EcoLife series.
