LONGi Solar launches three predictive-safety storage systems for the Polish C&I market and expands its portfolio into commercial and industrial energy storage. The systems feature a patented Intelligent Cell Connection System (iCCS) that delivers predictive cell-level monitoring with a 3 to 5 minute early warning before thermal runaway. Under expansion-force monitoring, detection windows can exceed 15 minutes before critical escalation. The safety concept is documented in a technical white paper prepared in cooperation with TÜV Rheinland, supporting independent technical review of the architecture. The storage solutions build on established technical cooperation with PotisEdge, an energy storage safety specialist with extensive experience in commercial and industrial applications. In Poland, LONGi Solar will introduce the OmniCube and LONGi Flexi product families, built to address distinct commercial and industrial deployment requirements.

Adrian Kočan, General Manager of LONGi Solar Eastern Europe (DG) commented: “Bringing solar generation and intelligent battery storage together on one platform allows LONGi to address growing grid constraints, rising electricity costs, and increasing reliability requirements in the C&I market. The integrated approach reduces complexity, improves system performance, and delivers a clear and structured solution for generation, storage, and energy optimization.”

iCCS – Intelligent Cell Connection System shifts storage from passive buffering to active protection

The patented iCCS replaces conventional wiring harness-based monitoring with a fully integrated detection architecture developed in-house. It reduces internal cable connections by up to 80 percent and enables precise single-cell supervision. The system expands monitoring at cell level by adding detection dimensions beyond conventional voltage and temperature checks. The safety architecture combines continuous cell supervision with battery management, thermal control, automatic isolation of affected components, and integrated fire suppression. This coordinated, multi-layer approach is designed to detect irregularities at an early stage, contain risks, prevent thermal runaway propagation, and maintain stable system operation under demanding conditions. The concept is structured under the patented 5S framework, integrating the Battery Management System (BMS), Intelligent Cell Connection System (iCCS), Thermal Management System (TMS), Energy Management System (EMS), and Power Conversion System (PCS) into one unified storage architecture.

Adrian Kočan added: “Across more than 12 GWh of cumulative deployments over the past decade, our technology partner PotisEdge maintains a safety record without thermal runaway incidents. This track record provides LONGi with a strong technical foundation to deliver high-safety storage solutions to the Polish C&I market.”

Structured C&I storage portfolio for high-demand commercial and industrial applications

The European storage portfolio is built around two flagship product families addressing a variety of commercial and industrial requirements, OmniCube and LONGi Flexi, with LONGi Flexi presented at ENEX 2026. The systems are segmented by deployment logic, scalability, and safety profile, supporting more transparent investment decisions and predictable project implementation. They are structured to reduce balance-of-system costs, shorten installation timelines, and improve cost predictability across the project lifecycle.

OmniCube represents the standard all-in-one cabinet solutions for commercial and industrial sites. These systems integrate battery storage, liquid-cooled thermal management, power conversion, and energy management into a compact cabinet format. Designed for peak shaving, load shifting, backup power, and grid interaction, OmniCube supports modular expansion and multi-machine parallel operation. The platform combines integrated safety architecture, real-time remote monitoring, and simplified installation, making it well suited for manufacturing plants, logistics centers, commercial buildings, and other fixed-site applications requiring reliable and scalable storage infrastructure.

LONGi Flexi is the flexible, long-duration storage family engineered for more complex industrial use cases. With configurable power options such as 125 kW or 250 kW and storage capacities such as 261 kWh per unit, it supports extended discharge durations from 2 to 24 hours and scalable “1+11” expansion. The system integrates advanced cell monitoring, automatic isolation of affected battery clusters, and flexible integration with PV and biomass systems. LONGi Flexi is suited for industrial customers requiring longer energy shifting windows, enhanced grid participation, and adaptable capacity growth over time.

LONGi enters C&I storage to address deployment and investment barriers

Recent battery energy storage incidents in international markets have highlighted the operational and financial consequences of C&I system failures. The defining challenge in commercial and industrial storage is no longer capacity or cost alone, but systemic safety, predictive risk management, and proven reliability across the full lifecycle. Thermal runaway remains the central technical risk which increasingly shapes customer evaluation and long-term investment decisions. At the same time, projects must address energy management performance, integration of solar and storage, capital expenditure, electricity price volatility, and grid connection constraints. These factors contribute to market hesitation and reinforce the need for integrated, transparent storage solutions that reduce complexity and improve planning security.

LONGi addresses these challenges with an integrated C&I storage platform that reduces complexity and improves investment clarity. Predictive safety and coordinated solar-storage design are combined within one system to strengthen performance reliability. In collaboration with PotisEdge, LONGi combines photovoltaic leadership with proven storage safety engineering to meet increasing reliability requirements in commercial and industrial energy infrastructure.

The OmniCube storage systems will be available in Poland beginning of March 2026, and the LONGi Flexi product line will follow in the upcoming months.

Links and additional information

OmniCube L233 – High-density liquid-cooled storage system for space and grid-constrained commercial sites

The OmniCube L233 is designed for commercial buildings, logistics centers, retail sites, and light industrial facilities where space constraints and stable grid interaction are critical. The compact cabinet integrates liquid-cooled thermal management and supports scalable parallel configuration, ensuring stable performance under fluctuating load conditions. Suitable for outdoor installation and engineered for operation in temperatures ranging from –30°C to +55°C, the system enables reliable peak shaving and cost optimization within existing low-voltage infrastructure. Configured as a 125 kW unit, the L233 can be expanded from a single cabinet up to five interconnected units, reaching 625 kW and approximately 1.16 MWh within a unified system architecture. For larger configurations, an AC combiner cabinet ensures coordinated power distribution and protection.

OmniCube A215 - Scalable low-voltage storage solution for compliance-driven industries

The OmniCube A215 is a 215 kWh commercial and industrial storage unit with 105 kW rated output, designed for direct integration into standard European 400 V three-phase low-voltage infrastructure. It supports grid-tied, off-grid, and microgrid applications, offering flexibility across different site configurations. The modular structure allows projects to begin at smaller commercial scale and expand to megawatt-class installations through parallel connection of up to ten units. This enables phased investment and future capacity growth within one consistent system architecture. The system is particularly suited for industries with elevated safety and compliance requirements, including manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical production, and critical infrastructure, that require scalable low-voltage integration and robust operational reliability.

LONGi Flexi 261x - Long-duration C&I storage system for grid-constrained and energy-intensive operations

The LONGi Flexi L261x is a commercial and industrial energy storage system based on a 261-kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery platform and available with either 125 kilowatts or 250 kilowatts of rated power. It is designed for commercial and industrial operators with high energy demand, limited grid capacity, or critical loads that require reliable and scalable backup capability. Dedicated AC and DC cabinet versions enable flexible system configuration, including backup durations of up to 24 hours through DC. It targets energy-intensive operations facing grid limitations or high continuity requirements. With extended backup duration and modular expansion capability, it supports industrial sites, cold storage facilities, and commercial campuses seeking resilience while postponing costly grid upgrades.
