LONGi’s Hi-MO X10 Artist full-black module is part of the new EcoLife Series for homeowners which LONGi launched in June 2025. While aesthetics attract attention, long-term performance secures value. The module delivers up to 500 W power output, equivalent to ~245 W/m², and a module efficiency of 24.5% posing the perfect blend of elegance and high performance – even on compact roofs. The module is built on LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) architecture, a next-generation cell technology that enhances efficiency and reliability. The module is engineered to combine reliability, cost-effectiveness, and sustained power output. With only 1% degradation in the first year and a 0.35% annual linear degradation rate, it delivers unmatched durability over decades. Its power temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C represents a 0.03% improvement over TOPCon, securing higher energy yields in hot climates.

HPBC 2.0 represents a new stage in back contact technology, overcoming limitations of earlier BC cell designs and silicon wafers. Between 2022 and 2024, LONGi R&D increased the absolute cell efficiency by an impressive 1%. This is considered a generational leap for BC cell design. LONGi’s innovation pace in evolving its back contact technology further has delivered record-breaking results. In October 2024, LONGi became the first Chinese company to set a world record for module efficiency since records began in 1988. Its Hi-MO X10 module reached 25.4% efficiency, now listed on the NREL Champion Photovoltaic Module Efficiency Chart.
Zero busbar design for stronger and more efficient connections
The upgraded back contact manufacturing process applies 0BB cell design with intelligent soldering, directly connecting ribbons to fingers. This reduces transmission distance by 6.5%, adding around 5 W of power output. The absence of front-side busbars eliminates shading, enhancing both performance and aesthetics. Precision laser etching and high-transparency insulating materials reduce leakage risks and improve light absorption.
LONGi’s proprietary N-type TaiRay wafer provides strength and stability at the core
The new TaiRay wafer addresses long-standing silicon wafer challenges. Produced using the improved Recharge Czochralski (RCz) method, it achieves a 16% higher break resistance, better resistance distribution and lower impurity levels. These advances translate directly into higher module performance and long-term reliability.
