nadinebuetow@longi.comLONGi has received three product awards from TÜV Rheinland at this year’s All Quality Matters Solar & ESS Congress in Changzhou. The company’s back contact (BC) modules were recognized in three categories:
- Hi-MO X10 Guardian Light Design – Lightweight PV Module Excellence Award
- Hi-MO X6 Max – Outdoor Energy Yield Excellence Award
- Hi-MO 9 – Ultra Quality PV Module Top Award
This marks the ninth consecutive year LONGi modules have been honored at the “All Quality Matters” event, underscoring the company’s sustained record in product testing and certification.
Hi-MO X10 and Hi-MO X6 Max: awards in distributed applications
The Hi-MO X10 Guardian Light Design module, based on HPBC 2.0 cell technology, combines mass production efficiency of 24.8% with a weight reduction of up to 30% compared to conventional glass modules. At 7.2kg/m², the design reduces roof load, installation time and cost, making it suitable for residential and commercial rooftop projects. TÜV Rheinland’s testing confirmed performance in UV resistance, damp-heat, flame retardancy, and energy generation per unit mass.
The Hi-MO X6 Max Guardian Anti-Dust module received the Outdoor Energy Yield award. Its frame design allows rainwater towash away accumulated dust, lowering cleaning requirements and reducing the risk of hot-spot formation. The combination of BC conversion efficiency and lower O&M costs was decisive in TÜV Rheinland’s evaluation.
Hi-MO 9: recognition for ultra-high product quality
The new Ultra Quality PV Module award went to LONGi’s Hi-MO 9, the company’s flagship utility-scale module built on HPBC 2.0technology. TÜV Rheinland’s assessment included product certification and“zero-weakness” power generation performance. Field data confirm the results:
- In an Inner Mongolia desert project, Hi-MO 9 generated 2.45% more electricity per kilowatt and 9.05% more per unit area compared with TOPCon modules under dust-storm conditions.
- Independent assessments by Enertis Applus+ (Spain) and IPVF (France) have verified Hi-MO 9’s energy yield and LCOE advantages.
BC validated at scale in diverse climates
Speaking at the congress, LONGi Vice President Dennis She noted that BC technology has now been validated at scale in diverse climates: “The demonstrated energy yield gains provide customers with higher lifecycle value, which is critical for a sustainable industry transition.”
As of Q1 2025, global shipments of LONGi BC modules exceeded 30 GW, deployed in more than 10,000 PV power plants worldwide.
