LONGi Solar announces record sales achievements for Distributed Generation at Intersolar 2025

Over 2.5 GW of Hi-MO X10 (HPBC 2.0) and Hi-MO S10 (HBC) modules signed, highlighting strong market momentum for the EcoLife Series and next-generation back contact technology.

Frankfurt, May 13, 2025 – During this year’s Intersolar Europe, LONGi, a global leader in solar technology, announced major distributed generation (DG) sales milestones, securing more than 2 GW in closed agreements for its Hi-MO X10 HPBC 2.0 back contact module and 500 MW for its newly launched Hi-MO S10 based on Heterojunction Back Contact (HBC) technology. Both high-performance modules form part of LONGi’s premium end-customer brand, EcoLife Series, introduced to meet growing demand for reliable, high-efficiency residential and commercial solar solutions.

Hi-MO X10 wins Smarter E Award 2025 for performance, reliability and design excellence

The Hi-MO X10 was recognized for its contribution to advancing module technology through the integration of LONGi’s proprietary second-generation Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC 2.0) technology that is based on the highly efficient LONGi TaiRay wafer. The jury further praised the zero-busbar (0BB) structure and the module’s Bipolar Hybrid Passivation Technology which brings significant improvements in efficiency, mechanical characteristics and reliability. The module’s shading optimizer technology furthermore reduces the loss of power output by 70% and decreases localized temperatures by up to 28% reducing the risk of hotspots and system fires, according to the jury’s summary. All in all, the Hi-MO X10 would set new standards for performance and reliability.

The module delivers a maximum power output of up to 670W for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications with a module efficiency of 24.8% and a cell efficiency of 26.6%, it outperforms conventional TOPCon modules by as much as 30W. The 54-cell format for residential use delivers 500W.

Hi-MO S10: The first commercialized HBC module for real-world applications

Building on LONGi's pioneering heterojunction back contact (HBC) technology, the Hi-MO S10 represents a breakthrough in module efficiency and durability. Combining the strengths of heterojunction passivation and back contact design, the Hi-MO S10 achieves world-leading performance metrics with a module efficiency of 25%. It also introduces enhanced safety features and superior low-light behavior, ensuring maximum energy generation throughout the day. As part of the EcoLife Series, the 54-cell bifacial premium module is designed for use in the residential sector and has a maximum power output of up to 510W leading to a power per square meter ratio of 250W/m². LONGi offers a 30-year warranty on both power and material.
